Hi all,
I just remembered now that I needed to ask this question. As most of you know and from my sig i have a mk1 xant vsx, it has central locking and a normal key (no buttons on it).
I have a dark half globe near the sunroof, is this supposed to receive a signal from a remote key fob that does the central locking remotely as well as an alarm. I have ultrasonic sensors near the wing mirrors demister vents, and a ultrasonic override switch where the buttons are near the starter key.
I'm wondering if I get a remote key fob, will I be able to reprogram a blank one with the car's 'body ecu'? Seems a shame to waste such a handy feature.
Possible to enable the alarm in the meantime?
Thanks again
xant mk1 vsx had remote locking/alarm?

Yep, you've answered your own query; it does need a black plipper to
activate the ultrasonics.
If you examine under the bonnet on the passenger rear there's a cap
covering the alarm siren on/off - this will usually have been switched off
when the alarm has sounded in the past where the battery has been
disconnected! It's damned loud...
In the meantime, as the sensors aren't going to operate until you find a
Citroen fob, you could deadlock the doors by holding the locked position on
the door lock for a few seconds every time you lock up.
