Well Done JB - nailed down World Championship title!

Post by andmcit »

I really am chuffed for Jenson Button - another Brit winning World top honors
even if he did make a meal of things towards the end!

Respect due to Ross Brawn but commiserations to Rubens Barrichello
- still got a chance to regain the number 2 spot even if this has been
the story of his career...

Next year for Hamilton again or a repeat for Button?

Andrew

Missed the GP today  was at some birthday thing but im sure button could pull it off , i think he has the experience now to start doing well but the car was the best on the grid for the first few races and this gave him the edge he needed, Hamilton doesnt seem to have the self control on the track yet to do consistantly well, but given a few more years and the right car could do well.
Saw Q1 and Q2 yesterday, it was looking good for button untill they resumed Q2 are you telling me button pulled himself up from the back of the pack then  8)

A brilliant drive from Button, even if his final placing owed a lot to others falling over each other! A really ballsy performance, and one in the eye for those who said he wasn't mentally tough enough.

Sad for Rubens that he couldn't win his home race though. Rubens first and Jenson 2nd or 3rd was my dream result.

Just watched the race - best for a long time.

Just a quick PS. On another petrolhead mailbase I'm on we have a rule about not putting spoilers in thread titles and warnings if the messages contain spoilers as well in case there are folks who have recorded it to watch later.

I agree about the race, and that's a valid point about the non disclosure of a result.

Also when he got back to the U.K. he was at an appearance previously booked, within 1 hour of landing here, he was at Bluewater shopping centre doing a personal appearance, and laying rubber in the car park.
