307 HDi Glow plug Relay Function

New poster in Peugeot section, so apologies if this has all been done before.

2004 reg 307 HDi, anyone know what triggers the glowplug unit ? The relay itself has about eight connections, at least four of which appear to be Neg. Getting no voltage to the plugs. Replaced relay with brand new one, but no change. Can't find a wiring diagram for this setup anywhere.
Any thoughts or fixes most welcome !

The glowplugs dont come on unless it's really cold (around 0 degrees)
If you are having starting problems i doubt it's glowplug related
