Newbie!

Unread post by Muzzy »

Hey, im Muzzy from Inverness. Currently drive a 206 1.1 (broken) but have previously owned an L reg 106 Rallye, 306 TD and a 106 1.1. Currently on the lookout for a cheap 205 to start a project with, was on the search for another Vauxhall Nova but after 28 previous i thought i should maybe try out something new

Well, there are lots and lots of things you can do to a 205 John :D

Muzzy, welcome :D I've replied to your 205 post in the Peugeot area of the forum

Just as long as you have no plans afoot to put an Activa engine in it , all should be well. There are a lot of us on here who love and adore our Activas and get rather upset when we see them being used as engine donors for various Pugs  They're very fine cars and they deserve a better fate...

Please Jim, don't give him ideas about engines...

28 previous Vauxhall Corsas.

I'm one to talk I know and also have my own particular feelings about Corsas,
but I have to say that either they:
  • a] don't last 5 minutes before terminating as there so hit or miss jackyl & hyde you have to have a constant drip feed
b] are so fantastic you can never have enough
c] it's damned difficult to find a decent one
    d] you're a glutten for punishment
Just wait till a Peugeot 205 wins your heart and head; you may even
branch into the really weird stuff call Citroens...

Absolutely right Andrew. I came to Citroens by way of Pugs and never looked back :D

I suggest you simply skip the 205 stage in your automotive evolution and go straight to an Activa :)

Then, after a year or two, get yourself a V6!!!!

It's an easy conversion and they fly with a 1.9TD under the bonnet...

I recommend that engine swap wholeheartedly Xac :D
