As my contract may end today (or the 18th if I'm lucky), I'm going to have more time on my hands, and Juliet really needs her heater matrix done. Cassy does as well, but it's nowhere near as bad as the mist producing one in Juliet!
So I phoned GSF today and taking advantage of the 10% discount from being a CCC member, ordered the 4 beru glow plugs I need for Cassy, and a heater matrix for Juliet.
Now they said for the warranty to be kept, they'd have to sell me Wynns stop leak, which I duly bought.
I know Jim recomends Forte, and I did mention it to them on the phone, but they said it was a manufacturers requirement.
So is Wynns stop leak any good?

In the past, the GSF matrix just came with a note saying the matrix needs
to be fitted and the correct amount of inhibitor/anti freeze used - no mention
made of another product required that must be bought with it! Thre'd likely
be real hassles attempting to make a claim from GSF were the thing to fail
anyway. They don't seem particularly robust and I've had one Xm need 3
so there's a chance GSF are a tad nervous about the durability?
Guess the reality is the new replacement stands more of a fighting chance
if there is something like Wynns or Forte - my pereference would be Forte
as well - billiant product!

I was told the same when I did my matrix, I used the Wynns and have had no ill effects thus far. I'll be replacing the coolant soon but wont put any more Wynns in.
It infuriates me to be wrong when I know I'm right

I cant say as ive heard of any warranty issues surrounding not using Wynns stop leak?...perhaps ive missed a change in the system notes? Ive not sold a Matrix for a Xantia in Liverpool yet.
If i remember i will have a look at them tomorrow.
Most of our french Matrixes are Valeo i think
