uncle buck - cool. It's early days yet and I've yet to put some real miles into the NGK's so I'm staying neutral at the moment.
Maybe it's because I'm ambidextrous but I didn't find those two infamous plugs a problem to remove. It might also have something to do with the
fact I removed a bracket and something else for easier access.
A swivel joint and long slim wrench extension is what I used.
Do place some rags etc below to catch any fallen parts as they invariably fall into the most inaccessible of hiding holes given the chance unless you get new ones.
But whatever you do, don't overtighten them. It's worth repeating again and again because if they distort in the hole, there's not only the chance they'll break and fail but more importantly, you might not be able to extract them again!
