Unfortunate turn of phrase there Malcolm.
Perhaps I should have said "The ones I have already met".

Jim is just a young'n anyway.

Got back about half and hour ago, journey back wasn't too bad ended up going down the M5 which wasn't too bad. Had to stop off for another kip on the way down what with little sleep I had the nights before (by my standards).
Actually getting up there on Friday was a bit of a sod. I left just after 4pm. I knew the motorway was blocked apparently due to a person jumping off a bridge into the northbound traffic  so I planned a route using the secondary roads, but then got stuck in slow moving traffic on the A303 so diverted there and skipped that section. Got up a bit futher and got stuck in more traffic, turned around and moved across to the next main road along and got to Bath, another traffic jam there just past that big roundabout that goes under the bridge so exited around there for some rat running around the back roads and ended up passing a rural pub at 9:30ish around Chippingham and having a kip for an hour. After feeling a bit more invigorated the steady run up to Stratford (along with a few wrong turnings) and I arrived at 2:30am   Setting up the tent was rather fun with minimal lighting from the nearby building
The Saturday evening was spent firstly doing a quiz and then onto Karaoke which took up a large part of the evening, very good especially nearer the end when a good amount of beer and wine was consumed
Saturday was a good day, the weather held out rather well. Jim arrived first, followed by Xac and Danielle around half and hour later starting off the Xantia section :D A little while after that Patrick (bxman) arrived in his 2ltr 16v Exclusive which completed the FCF meet for the Saturday and
we were joined by DickieG and Tim Leech on the Sunday.
Incidentally, well done on winning the concours for your BX Tim :D
This was the first time I had met Patrick and Tim and the old "Citroen enthusiasts are the nicest of people" once again applies here :D

I think that'll do for the time being, I don't particlarly want to fall asleep at the computer

Im liking the new avatar Steve

Sounds a reasonably successful weekend and all day tomorrow to recover. I wish I had realised earlier that it was on a BH weekend and would have made the effort to show up.
Matbe next time.

I had a change of plan this weekend, so me and my dad did pop in at the racecourse yesterday for a few hours in the afternoon, not as many there as last year i thought.

We had a good look around and got a couple of things on the small trade stands but i think we were only there for about 3 hours.

Really liked the 2.1TD Xantia estate in silver, wouldnt mind one of those, that one looked especially nice. I noticed all the Xants had a good mileage but all looked very clean, amasing how they dont show their miles. The red Xm estate was very nice too, one of the better estates ive seen in a while.

Didn't make it today as we went to Silverstone to watch the BTCC, last minute tickets for a VIP stand - which was a fantastic day out.

So 500 miles of driving later and im back, tired though. Shame the weather wasnt a bit better today, great weekend though 8)

I know, i should have came and said who i was

Infact i wasnt in a Citroen, nearly came in the white Xm but just realised the MOT ran out in April  I was thinking the other day while i was out driving it that its MOT must be soon as i cant remember taking it. So i looked for the certificate and i can only find last years, so i assume it hasnt been done this April :? Luckily its probably only been used a few times since then. Must have a better system for remembering their MOT times!

The six wheeler C15 is full with traction parts at the moment, the C5 my sister had to put her bike rack on and the silver Xm is sold pending payment, so since i was mainly down there for Silverstone i went in the 206, mine was the silver one parked near your Xantias, with MPG on the reg. Still its French and has the 2.0HDi from most C5s, Xantias etc, so i didnt feel too bad about turning up in that! Even got a new rear wiper from one stand.

Would have liked to come on the sunday, should be there next year :D

Your email provider will almost certainly have a calender included - my BT and Google accounts do.

You can put your MOT dates in there and then set a reminder to send you an email or popup a couple of weeks beforehand.

Sound like you all had a great time, as is the norm, I'm really sad I missed out this event :(, I had just come back from Bruges late Saturday night, was a bit to shattered plus the GG was not in show condition after all the driving.

Is it to early to be thinking about next FCF get together?
