Water in indicator

Unread post by Trainman »

Morning chaps, My off side front indicator is getting condensation inside, at first I thought it was just that the air holes were blocked, but after the dowmpour of the last couple of days, it's doing it again. I'm thinking that the sealant has gone.

The question is therefore, is there a special sealant, or can I just "bodge" with a bit of bathroom sealant?? It's not major, it's just bugging me........... :?

What car are you talking of? One bodge could be to drill a tiny hole at the bottom to let the water drain out.

Morning Dickie, It's the C6, but there are already 2 holes in in the rear of the unit, one at the top and the other at the bottom, I'm guessing that the 'Bonding' has gone between the lense and the unit. I've already had the unit out and drained it, I've cleaned out the air holes and it's still doing it, hence the 'bonding'.....
