Xantia - Rear Height Corrector Plastic Link

Unread post by BonceChops »

Yes the little *$£&*$% fell off yesterday just as I was about to do a 150 mile trip. Clipped it back on this morning but was wondering if Citroen is the only place to buy a spare in case it does it again. It was tight to clip back on so might be ok. It fell off at the height corrector end.
Anyone got any idea on price for just the plastic link.
Regards

Just a point here the small plastic link should be wire locked in place after fitting.
Close examination of it will reveal two small holes top and bottom to feed the locking wire through and prevent the clip from falling off.
It's a damn fiddley job to get the wire throught the holes but it will stop the link falling off and probably save you the cost of a new one.
quote:

Had to replace the lever connected to the anti-roll bar in the summer and bought a new plastic clip with it. Total cost was about £13 from the local Cit dealer. I seem to recall it being about £1.50 + vat.

Thanks chaps.
I will get it on the ramps again and look for those holes and at £1.50 +VAT i will buy one so I will never need it again (Murphey's Law)
