Are you asking which one to purchase?

If you have deep enough pockets go for the Activa. However if you want the cheaper option in the long run I would imagine the BX represents the best buy.

Performance wise I would imagine the BX quicker in a straight line, its lighter and has about the same amount of power output, but as many performance car mags have shown nothing matches an Activa in the corners, you'd have to have a very expensive exotic to come close.

In saying all that I'd be very tempted to buy the BX, overall I think the BX shape is nicer than the xantia, and during my Activa test drive the ride was just a little to hard for me, thats my opinion. Bottom line if you liked the Activa better and can afford its upkeep, go for it. Plus you'll be helping the country's economy recover with all the petrol you'll be buying ;)

no not looking to buy we have one of each sitting on the drive. the activa has sat for 18months and the bx has sat for 4years. started the activa yesterday first time with a jump and runs sweet so i think the bx will go and it even has a stainless exhaust. never mind.

Looking to sell huh.. Make sure you post on this forum, and post on the BX club forum.
Sadly don't think either are much in demand these days, still in that awkward pre-classic stage.
What ever you do don't scrap it :!:

If its a 16v, even more reason to make sure its saved and goes to an enthusiast.

In a straight line not even a V6 manual would be able to keep up with a 16v BX, i know of a stock one that done the 1/4 mile in 15.1, that is rapid even today and only .2 seconds slower than an Escort Cosworth standard.
