Xantia Paint KPKCR advice required

Unread post by admiral51 »

Hi All

Have finished the repair work on the damaged rear wheel arch in so much that im ready for the respraying but im a little confused as to which paint i need

I have a small tin of kpk that came with the car which states it is base and touch up paint.I have sprayed a bit of this on the removed door (damaged) and it looks the right colour but has no shine to it looks really flat.
Now is this because i have not sprayed a laquer over it or is there a base and top coat :? :?

Quite happy to order the correct paint from the Stealers but just a little guidance from people on here that have much more experience in these matters than me

Cheers

I take it that the colour you are spraying is metallic in which case yes you need to now spray a laquer coat in order to make it shine.

The Halfrauds spray paints are a just as good quality as stealer. I got a Quartz metallic paint for a S2 xantia and did the bumpers, the result was pretty damm good!!!
