Shortcut for ZX heater matrix replacement?

Has anyone ever tried cutting into the fascia on a ZX to replace the heater matrix? Given that most of these cars aren't worth a fortune any more I'd certainly give it a go if I knew where to cut!
Going on past experience I expect my 6-year old to fail any time soon...

Dont even think about it.......unless you're turning it into a rally car!!
Even so, the only way to get to the Matrix is by removing the facia whole. Depending on your ability/tools, it will take around a day to complete.

Do it by the book! its about two feet in! easier to remove the engine and cut through the bulkhead and come in from the front if you had a real fear of dashboards.
