cooling fans failure xantia vsx 1.9td

Hi, my cooling fans dont work but they have been taken out the relays cleaned reassembled and they check out ok after being tested off the car.

The car has an aircon system which has been topped up and the compressor is ok. Any suggestions? Gerry

You say the fans work OK, off the car?

What happens if you bridge the relay sockets?

Had a similar problem with my S2 XM 2.1td, was a faulty temperature sensor which swithched the relay for fans. On mine its next to the diesel filter.

Thanks for the replies, my problem seemed to be dirty electrical plug connections as in the process of taking them off for testing and replacing them the fans are working now.
