Unread post by Ross_K »

Dunno if we have any Irish Activa fans here, but I said I'd stick up these ads I found anyway in case there were any interested lurkers.

No pics for the first one, sorry...

Is the Sunroof a rare find then? As my First Activa had Aircon and a Sunroof, but it was owned by Citroen for first 4000 miles of its life.

Only noticed this post today.

I snapped up that first one as soon as I saw it. After having the regular 1.8 16v for a while, I've always wanted an Activa.

Had to change a few spheres, the rear balancing sphere had apparently been pumped by some garage here but when I look at it from under the car, it had some sealant put on the end of the sphere which was leaking lhm.

It's still not behaving itself suspension-wise (diagonal tilting at the lights, ARCS doesn't seem to be working all the time), but I'm trying to diagnose it and fix it as I go.

Btw, it passed the NCT without a bother, despite having the exhaust break and need replacing two weeks later.

Hui Ramocc and welcome to the forum and to the world of Activas :D

There's a few links in the sticky Activa Buyers Guide in this forum that will help you diagnose the issues you're still having withe the suspension.

This thread in particular should be of assistance.

Thanks. I saw that thread alright earlier this week, even printed it out so I'd be able to read it while working at the car :)
Seems like it's going to be a sunny bank-holiday weekend here, so I'll be able to work on the car.

Welcome to the forum Ramocc. Good to hear the red one wasn't a total basket case.

Kinda makes me wish I'd gone for it now...

Thanks to all for the warm welcome.

Well I've added those diodes that were mentioned in other threads, and lo and behold, the car now corners flat. Now all that remains is a few little things, like the wiper sprays and some loose door inside trims...
