Hydractive2 / Activa height sensors

Unread post by Sl4yer »

I've just been reading the Citroen 'bible' regarding the various systems employed (H1, H2, Activa, etc.). It mentions that H1 cars have electro-optical height sensors front and rear. There is no mention of this being different in later versions. Can anyone confirm or deny if these exist on H2 / Activa cars? I've never heard of them before, and we're always told that ignorance is no excuse! 8)

They're talking about the "Potentiometer" actuated off the anti-roll bar, front and rear.

I thought the steering angle sensor was opto-electronic?

I believe it is.

The "Citroen guide" talks of the height sensor (only one on the front anti-roll bar now that I re-read it) consisting of 2 infrared beams and a disc with 45 slots. Come to think of it, the Lexia has a Body Steps reading - that must come from this sensor.
