Hello, and- any Activas in Scotland?

Hi everyone.
I have been lurking round here for ages, because I am simply fascinated by the Activa.
I always thought the Xantia was quite a smart car anyway, but the more I read about the Activa, the more it has seeped, stealthily and covertly, into my brain.

I am very interested in this special machine but don't really know where to start. I joined Activanet ages ago but that seems a bit dead nowadays.

Through reading on here I am reasonably familiar with what's involved in owning one (i.e. big commitment

) but without knowing what it is like to drive or sit in it is a bit of a non-starter really.

I have never owned a Citroen

,but the CX has always been one of my (pipe) dream cars. The Activa is gaining similar status in my mind (shame it doesn't look as preposterous and wonderful, but you can't have everything

).

I live in Glasgow, and am wondering if there is anyone on here with an Activa living within travelling distance who would be willing to show me around this most enigmatic of vehicles.

Please, let me cure my madness! I can't stand not knowing if it is for me much longer....

Hi,

Sorry, this isn't a reply to tell you that I have an Activa in Scotland, more to tell you that if you sample driving one, you will be hooked so be warned!

I actually bought my car FROM Scotland. Just the drive from Leuchars into St Andrews was enough to get me hooked...... I then drove it the rest of the way home to West Yorks. Still smitten now even though it is by no means perfect.

I didn't intend to keep it, merely save it from being bought by someone who just wanted the engine. The best laid plans.......
