I was actually thinking about 16" OZ Ultraleggeras...

Caliber swap for a Xantia will be a problem though. I'm told that calibers that are designed for regular brake fluid won't work with LHM. Something about the seals being made out of different material IIRC. And then there's the handbrake issue as well...

I don't think there are any aftermarket performance parts available for Xantia, pads or discs.

Apparently I was wrong here... I did a bit more searching, and atleast EBC, Brembo and Black Diamond make discs for Xantia. You even get to choose whether you want them slotted, drilled or both. But you really don't want them drilled... Black Diamond also makes performance pads and rear discs for Xantia.

Brembo and Black Diamond offer the bigger V6 front discs too (288mm x 28mm, used in X2 TCT also?).

Dont bother with drilled they just crack up

Ebc pads are known to come away from their backing plates on some vehicles....

Yeah, I know about the cracking, that's why I wrote that you don't want them. Here's one example of drilled & slotted Black Diamond...



EBC pads come in quite a variety, and their performance pads (red stuff, only heard good things) aren't even available for Xantia. For the V6 they only offer their regular oem replacements.

I'm actually quite tempted to go for the Black Diamond slotted discs and pads. Haven't heard anything negative about those (well, apart from the drilled example above), although their products are relatively unknown. I know that some Finnish rally teams use them. And there's a local dealer too.

The controller you need is this -

If it fitted in the same place as the original controller, take the pipes off but dont disconnect the multiplug. And you will need a boost gauge to get the setting right, 12psi with a little spike is about right, and gives a useful increase in performance.

I'll reserve judgement on the V6 until I have mine going... Got to agree about the V6 soundtrack though

K&N element. Performance figures for the V6 Auto are slower than mine, about a second on the quarter mile. Mine is in the 7.5 second 0-60 area now, when the clutch dont slip When mine is fixed, i'll take you out in it driven in anger, just bring a sick bag

Yes sounds like fun, I've been meaning to goto Santa Pod for a while now, never quite made it. Perhaps we can persuade XantiaMan583 to go also, I'd be interested to see how his tuned Activa is vs the stock V6 auto.

More likely going to be September for me. I've still got to get my new clutch fitted, and i am on holiday last week of August and working flat out before then to pay for it!

It will be interesting to see what a V6 auto can do. Off the line, it wont match a manual car.


Shockingly, Citroen quoted a CT Activa with a 0-62mph time of 9.5 seconds, and quarter mile 16.7. The V6 Auto was 16.4 and 0-60 in 8.9 seconds, which is still a bit slow for a near 200bhp car. The only figure i have seen for a V6 Activa is 15.9.

Also weight and the driver (no i dont mean weight of the driver ) are different between models, a CT is 1425kg, a V6 Activa is 1450kg and a Auto V6 1496kg

suspect it was a manual, was showing the other half that only yesterday actually, did all right


manual will have it off the line, the auto is rubbish in first, most things are quicker up to 20mph

haha, well I was looking those figures the v6 is really heavy car that extra inch width in body work + extra 2 cylinders made the difference, I think citroen is slightly off in their numbers though when I watch this vid

it looks more like 6-6.5 seconds somewhere for the v6 and probably the same or quicker for a tweaked 2.0CT

LOL, not a chance you will get any Xantia into 6 second 0-60's unless it had over 250bhp, its just too heavy.

Likewise, i would be mahoosively impressed to see any Xantia into the 14 second quarter miles. When my Maestro was lightly tuned the best it did was 14.5 @ 95mph with around 200bhp, all about power to weight ratio.
