Bit silly really, but i spotted one of those green Activa's again in Norwich and have gone and bought it...!
Its an early N reg, with sunroof but no A/C. Completely dead accumalator sphere but no leaks, the rams are bone dry. Its the BRG colour which is very nice. Another downside is the strut tops have had it so its not going to be driven until a further assesment has been carried out.
Has tax till May and MOT till end of October.
Will get some pictures tomorrow.
What have i done???

Wow! Great stuff.
Great to hear of another Activa in the hands of an enthusiastic owner
and it's not only green but has a sunroof too!!

Seems very quick Gareth, you don't hang around; is there more to this
story? You're on mission impossible with good hydractive strut tops mind,
you may need to bite the bullet and buy new ones from Citroen. Best price
I could get an Activa one for was £95 all in but got stung another £12 for
the new bellows required!
Looking forward to pictures! S1 green Activas are nice.

I certainly didnt intend to get another car, i dont need one, but didnt want this to end up in the hands of someone that would take the engine out and crush the lot.
As an Activa owner i have to look at the survival of the fittest and help others out too, so i'm faced with a few options.
One is to break. Many worthwhile parts on it which will keep my W plate on the road for a very long time. I would help others out too, offering some bits here, and hopefully get my money back.
Two, is to sell it as it is, to another enthusiast. Its an ideal project if you have a little time and there isnt much wrong with it.
Three is to keep, tart it up and fix it. Problem is, i've just sold my TD as i dont need a 3rd car.
But i couldnt leave it there, and its fate will be decided very soon.

Dear Lord, you can't scrap the car, is it just the strut tops putting you off keeping it as a runner? Mind, saving the car is the best thing you could've
done mind, your good deed dons for Citroening and the Activa cause!
So, you don't plan to keep it then!!?
I will follow progress with keen interest; I'm thinning the Xantiae numbers
at this end though I would fancy a WORKING green Activae! Please give
me a shout if you do decide to sell.

Yep its gradually looking in its favour to keep it a little while. Searching for some decent strut tops and go from there.

How much would you want to sell it on as i'd fancy an activa but i can never find any good ens about
the last one i drove a few years ago was a dog and felt like those dodgey foriegn ones that were posted up a while ago that wallowed and rolled all over the place...
And i guess i could drop some leather in there as well and sort out the boost level as well for some added oomph. Wouldn't mind showing up a work colleagues 306 Rallye

Had a couple of people express interest in buying said beast, i am hoping that into next week i'll be able to repair the door on it, and give it a machine polish to help give any potential new owner a head start.
We shall see. The longer i have it, the more tempted i am to keep it! But longer term its not viable as i still have a Maestro Turbo crying out for attention and my grey Activa needs odds and sods doing to keep it at its best.

Ah great another Activa saved! 8)
Well done.
It looks good.
I notice it has only two mud flaps fitted, and these are on the Activa ram corners.
There is a small chance this car will have a new owner in the next week but as every day goes by i wanna keep it more!

Sadly, no one has said they really want it so i'm probably going to break it in the next week or two. It has no sale value because of the few small issues with it, and i'm sure many people on here would need some of the parts. I'll post up an ad for it shortly.

Your going to break it
Looks great in the pictures, is it not worth trying to source the bits? Surely there will be an Activa for breaking else where for some bits from it.
Seems a shame, have you listed it for sale anywhere?
Wont be long before these die out
