clonking noise

ive got a real bad clonking noise coming from my nearside rear suspension when going over bumps at moderate speeds, doesnt do it at high or low speed, any ideas?

sounds like the coil spring inside the shock absorber has snapped , common fault on scenics so maybe the same on yours

have had it diagnosed by both renault and kwik-fit (which was free!), its the main axle bush, is VERY common(they have a 40K mile lifespan with 17inch rims) and bloody expensive to replace, so far ive been quoted £320 and £315 to have both sides replaced, but if your handy with the spanners the parts are £40 a side

Hi, here is a full guide on how to replace the bushes, you can get them for £30 the pair on ebay and the tool required can be picked up between £30 - £60 as most buy the tool to do the job then punt it on (bad move)
