Can anyone tell me what performance upgrades can be done on the 2.0 turbo model and is a 2.0 16v + turbo/v6 transplant possible?
Anyone know the weight difference between the three engines?
Thanks,
Simon.

The V6 conversion is possible, we did not get it here, but mainland Europe did, I.E. anywhere else in Europe, but here, and it's not like the fact that R.H.D set up was an issue, it was just density in the marketing department at Citroen.
I have driven a V6, although not an Activa, & would love that as the motive power in my car, instead of the 2.0 CT engine!

I had a XM 2.0si turbo estate with this engine in and lets just say i had a few problems.
Cambelt tensioner bearings collapsed causing the belt to come off but no bent valves.
then the turbo was on its way out. Clutch and gearbox replaced too.
A nice v6 with a manual box would be ideal.
What can be done to the turbo one to boost the performance?

Here's an exhaust manifold + turbo kit for TCT: http://www.dp-engineering.nl/EN/product ... _compo.php... not cheap, but apparently good for atleast 218hp/333Nm: http://www.dp-engineering.nl/EN/project ... _turbo.php
According to specifications the V6 Activa is 58kg (127lb) heavier than the TCT Activa. I guess it's mostly the engine, and maybe couple of kilos from the bigger front brake discs. And yes, V6 + manual is quite ideal. 8)

Expensive!
The name for the manifold for the C.T upgrade is "Love Collector V2!"
Nice name!

Ive always been a bit disappointed in the acceleration of an activa in standard tune, Compared to the handling its a bit pants.
The 2.0 turbo seems really under stressed standard. With the right management, chargecooling, turbo & cam choice im sure it wouldn't be too shy. No doubt it would be expensive to do, One day i might buy one & tune it.

Imagine a situation where someone with big pockets had the Dutch conversion fitted, and were to be talking about their car to a friend, and its conversion if someone else (maybe a parent of the owner, possibly a mother) walked in the room, they might hear that as a "sound bite," and wonder what their son/daughter was talking about!

One of the best "additives" Arkweld, is a tank of Shell V-Power petrol. That seems to to the job.
The standard airbox and filter is pretty good and it's unlikely any benefit will be seen from putting some after-market job on when you consider the standard airbox and filter is much the same as on the V6 and if it's good enough for a V6, it's good enough for the TCT.
Speaking of the V6, I've just looked at the turbo conversion available for it
how on earth do they find space for it, an intercooler and all the piping. Space and access is already at a premium as well as under-bonnet heat issues
The best way to get a bit more out of the TCT engine seems to be to go the way Gareth (Xantiaman583) has with the manual boost controller. I've ridden in Gareth's Activa and can vouch for it being rather lively now

Boost up, exhaust, filter, done. Loads of torque, quite a bit more bhp, it feels like its been remapped. Keep's up with tweaked Mon deo ST220's and Golf V6 4Motions aswell (Stock they are 204bhp, 0-60 in 7.1)
Do that and you wont hanker after a V6 apart from the noise.
Remember most standard Activa's will not be running the power they should due to age and wear factors, get it sorted and you will be quite happy with the way it performs. I am, and i have driven alot more powerful machinery.

K&N element. Performance figures for the V6 Auto are slower than mine, about a second on the quarter mile. Mine is in the 7.5 second 0-60 area now, when the clutch dont slipCitroJim wrote:What did you do with the filter Gareth?XantiaMan583 wrote: filter
I'll reserve judgement on the V6 until I have mine going... Got to agree about the V6 soundtrack though

Yes a V6 soundtrack is nice, 8) although it looks like mine will have to emanate from the I.C.E. in the car, and controlled by the volume control on the steering wheel, as opposed to the right foot!CitroJim wrote:What did you do with the filter Gareth?XantiaMan583 wrote: filter

Hehe... I think the turbo kit is designed for a 406, and still they had to relocate the battery to make room for the turbo itself. Imagine all the hydraulics you'd have to move out of the way in an Activa...CitroJim wrote: Speaking of the V6, I've just looked at the turbo conversion available for ithow on earth do they find space for it, an intercooler and all the piping.
