Xantia Drop Links

I am on my fourth set since last October.

(I paid for the first, all others are replacements by the local Citroen specialist.) These have failed again and are to be replaced on Monday. I have asked for genuine Cit parts this time. Is there anything other than poor quality parts that can be causing this?

Probably not - the after market ones are rubbish compared to the OE spec Lemforder ones. GSF sell the Lemforder ones - they are the alternative, more expensive, part number.

The Lemforder drop links are not just OE quality, they are OE parts.

If you buy a Citroen bagged drop link, it is a Lemforder one, just re-bagged and a few% put on the price.

Most other makes just will not last.

Hello gang,

My drop links are a pair of cheap ones but I filled the joints with grease when I bought them and that will be 4 years in the summer when I changed them.
