Renault Laguna '98 Heater Blower probs

My heater blower motor only operates on setting 4 and the re-circulate settings do not blow either. Having had experience of Vauxhalls I presume it is my resistor pack gone down. Trouble is I don't know where it lives? Anyone any ideas before I rip my dash apart to find that it isn't there after all [?]

My dad 1998 laguna had the same problem. I think the resistor pack leaves somehwere under the dash on the passenger side of the car. When I find the haynes manual ill let you know the exact location. Just pray its not the switch assembly as these cost £300 plus from renault. As I was told that a faulty switch can cause similar probs.

Hi. Had this porob when I got my Lag last year. The resistor pack is behind the glove box. Once the glove box is removed you can replace the resistor pack in seconds. From start to finish the job took me all of about 10 mins. The part cost about £55..

Thanks for the info.I hope its not the switch, either way I think a visit to a scrappers is in order.

Found a scrapper sat in my local garage yard. Removed resistor pack from scrapper and fitted to my Laguna in less than 15 mins. Thanks fo the info.

for some people its the thermostat, others its the heater matrix and the rest its usually just blocked pipes.
