Resetting service interval on 306

Post by duxster »

Hi all
Simple question but been through the BB and can not find a previous post refering to it!!!
I have a late 99 306 LX and need to reset the service interval, bought the car second hand and the previous owner lost the handbook.
Cheers

Turn off ignition. Hold down trip reset button (at the bottom of the speedo) and turn the ignition on, you don't have to start it. It will start counting down on the display 10,9,8.... etc. When it reaches zero let go and the spanner should be gone and it will tell you the mileage until the next service is due when you turn the car on.

Pah, more like the dealer didn't know because they never bother.
We just got the works (admitedly a Vauxhall) car back after being serviced with it not reset.
