Activa used review in Autocar.

Unread post by Citroenmad »

Thought id get the Activa section rolling, as its been a little slow the last few days, with this:

As i was searching through some old car magazines today i came across a 2005 Autocar with an Activa review in the back. If you know the Autocar magazine you will know the 'caned but able' (its called something else now) section on the back page.

This is the review: (print might be a bit small, ill try to scan it bigger)

Overall a good review, the 'one we found' sounds great!

Yes please Chris!

Fantastic to see something like that so recently, even if I disagree with the comments about the steering (might have to give in on the clutch and brakes though!).

Thanks for posting it!

More like:

"Heavy consumption of go go juice makes them get given away"

I cannot undertand why the Barryboy Activa Despatchers want to lumber
themselves with these engines - they're not exactly the best on offer in a
Xantia engine bay either. Make it easier still and scrap a Pug 406 today I say!!

Thanks for that Citroenmad.

I quote, " Not quirky enough for Citroen enthusiasts until the Activa version was launched in 1996."

Quirky is good, and when she settles as described in the third column in the article, in a way where the reporter does not understand exactly what is happening, indeed this is where what "Simon says" he is not understanding the character of the car, indeed she is akin to being alive like Christine!
ACTIVA

The car that looks like a family car, but has special secret hidden abilities.

I did try and make a bigger scan copy of the item, but my scan software isnt up to it, so ill see if i can get a better package for it and make a more readable copy.
