Where's Nokia Hands Free Kit Box of Stuff

Unread post by ldare2000 »

Hi,

I've got a Laguna II (2004) Initiale, in the boot on the left under a neat cover is a box, is this to do with the Sat Nav or After Nokia Hands Free Kit?

If it's not where's the nokia kit's brain? I've no power going to my cradle, where would the unit we getting power from?

Thanks

Hi, that is where the CD changer goes (box in the boot).

Assuming your set up is the same as my previous 53 plate and that you are still trying to resolve this. The box you are referring to in the boot is actually the (radio/stereo/cd whatever you want to call it) with the changer being in the dash. The nokia black box (add on in my case) was under the centre console near the oem connector. The centre console cover is held on with sprung clips and just pulls off, helps if you take out ashtray and remove both handbrake and gearlever gaiters first.
I had quite a few Renault oem carphone bits and may still have some in the depths of my garage..Dave

Louis,
Honest answer is I don't know. You may just have a loose connection.
Again based on what I know from my car.
I installed a s/h kit by plugging into the oem loom (yellow 10w connector) next to gear lever and everthing worked for me.The cradle wiring is one piece to the "black box" which has a fourway power /mike and /speaker connections to the "phone loom"the other end of this connects to the oem connector. The aerial is connected to the black box end of the cradle wiring and to the sharkfin roof aerial by way of and oem connector behind the sat unit in the dash.
