Key Scratch on the other side of the car (Could be repaired, but is it worth
it on a 10 year old car?)

Stop light stays on intermitantly (Goes out if you pull away fast,
but then comes on again - its a sensor or something, the hydraulic
suspension/brakes/steering all work fine hence I have never bothered
doing again about it, must be a sensor of some sort works )

   :(

Why do these guys get them in the first place? Driving the car into the
ground is as bad as scrapping them for their engine... grrrrrr

I've managed to decipher his ramblings;
man that doesn't deserve an Activa wrote:That big light that says stop on the dashboard all the time and won't go out?

I just drive the car harder and faster and if that doesn't work just ignore
it and blame the car for being an old Citroen...

Stop light makes me think of the coolant level.
When Cassy's used to get low the stop light would come on.

At least this owner knows he is not worthy of Activa ownership and has put it on the 'bay so that someone who is worthy can have it and love it properly.

I think we can leave the floggings out of it. A better punishment would be to give him something like a Kia Pride in exchange for the Activa.

I can hardly believe it. ANOTHER one local to me! They're like buses, these cars. (To wait for, not to drive of course!)

Reading between the lines of this muppet's description, I reckon this car has just got low LHM in the reservoir.

Any body seen the silver MK2 listed?

Took some hunting because the seller has put Turboactiva in the description. Sounds like there is quite a bit of work to be done, but it looks lovely! :)

Is it this one?

Looks a good buy. Rams are OK if it only failed on brakes.

A silver MK2 does look nice. Local to me and tempting but no. I have my MK1 sinker returning home in the not too diatant and then that one is top receive lots of TLC.

EDIT: If anyone wants it looking at, get in touch...

Hello Jim, that's interesting as when I found this yesterday, the starting price was considerably lower than £199. Maybe he got cold feet.

I think the "rubber bush thing" may well be the lower mounting on the rear ram.

This car was listed on Ebay a few months ago, but I am not sure if it sold or not, as the owner was singing the praises of the car, even though it had a short MOT. I recognised the layout of the photo with the 'tank' in the background.

Seems like a lot of wonga for a car that is being sold without an MOT. Pig-in-a-poke? Legally, to sell a car without an MOT, the owner must make sure the car is disabled and unable to be driven on a public road. How you do that without making the car unsaleable, I do not know.
