Certainly isn't ideal Chris. Unless you've got some sort of trader's policy, you'll only be insured to drive somebody else's car third party. [Pedant]That is incorrect. [/Pedant]. It's probably one of those myths grown out of insurance companies misquoting the law to make more profit? The real issue with "other car cover" is if the other car is not already insured then it would only be insured while you drive it, not park and leave it... as the traffic police kindly told me (except when you're in custody in the back of their traffic car, that is!)
