Hello all! (<--- New to forum!)
I have an issue.
I have an OBD2 cable, and some freebie software which lets me deal with the engine management, but my ABS light has come on along with the service light.
Now I know I can systematically manually check each one of the four sensors and the rest of the ABS system, but I would like to be able to just plug it in, in the hope that it would tell me WHY it has turned the light on i.e. diagnose the area where the fault is.
I have seen some equipment you can buy that plugs into the OBD2 that does tell you the info I want, but these cost £200 per group (4 groups, French, European, US, and Japanese). If I'm going to spend any money on something I want to get something that will read ALL the information available on all 3 of the cars in our household, Renault Megane (2001), VW Beetle (2001) and a Ford Cougar (2001).
Any idea's would be welcome.
(Any quick fixes for the abs light problem would also be welcome!)
