Lets Go Round Again !!

Unread post by ACTIVE8 »

Take a look at this clip of an Activa having a road test around a roundabout.

The car is going around quickly, and a look at the speedo at one point shows 50kph, although it could have also been going faster than that at other times.

Also at approx one minute thirty seconds, take a look at the inside back wheel as it has left contact with the ground, and the Activa is on three wheels!

It looks like the other motorists were wondering what was going on!!

It's a wonder the driver didn't get dizzy!

You normally don't get dizzy, because you're looking out the driver's door window at where you're going and the visuals are linear.

Video shot through the windscreen is a little deceiving like that. A good effort though!

Interesting vid. They do like to cock a wheel up if you upset the weight balanced as witnessed by the drivers braking.

I have seen other cars with their primative mechanical suspension do this three wheel cornering I.E Golf etc.

With Citroen having its superior suspension, more so with the Activa, I suppose I was actually expecting all four wheels to remain on the ground despite the high cornering speed.

Well how about taking this clip for a spin.

The car has been shortened, and I don't think it has a CT engine from an Activa in it!

Yes it is a 205.

If you look closely, I think it lifts the inside rear wheel.

While it is going around a very small roundabout!

Later it lifts both of them! :)
