I have a Renault Clio 1.4 1999
The seat heating dont start or dont heat. The light on button works but no heat.
I have checked the fuses and all are ok.Checked the wireing under seat and they are on place and connected.
Any ideas what to do or what the problem can be?
Thanx for all help!!

Most likely scenario is a new heated seat unit.
A costly experience. Mostly in the vicinity of £500 ...
You will be MUCH better off using a £15 standard unit which fits directly on the seat like a cover.
Either you can plug it into your cigarette lighter outlet, or wire it on to the existing cabling. Its a dead simple 2 wire +/- connection.

Ahhh ... both seats.
No - then its more likely a relay or cabling problem.
Any of the 2 seats will simply get a +12V and earth connection when switched on.
Thats easy to check with a test lamp.
Unfortunately I have no idea where to look for the relay, but a good bet would be in the fuse box or vicinity there off.
Once found you should find a small icon or legend telling the relay usage.
The relay would likely be a standard simple make contact relay rated at 25Amp, which is a cheap standard type.

I downloaded Instruction manual online. It was manual to an Clio II 2002-
I think its same seats and etc in this Clio like mine from 1999
This is what it says on the manual........
With the ignition switched
on, press the switch located on the
rail cover 6. An indicator light will
light up on the instrument panel.
The system is not necessarily
activated if the indicator light is lit
up. The system has a thermostat and
only operates when the passenger
compartment temperature is less
than 12°C (with a tolerance of plus
or minus 4°C).
Is there thermostat on my Clio too??Maybe the problem is on that one then.It is snowing outside so the temperature is Low

Yes I believe that all recent cars have a thermostat built-in to the heated seat installation - for safety reasons.
That would be a thermostat for each seat then, so cant be the reason for both seats remaining cold.
Tell you what to do :
simply find the wiring under the seat. Then follow the wires backwards (under tany carpeting) in to the mid console - or wherever you end up - and look for any wiring failures.
Could be as simple as a dislodged connector somewhere.
Be patient when dismantling plastic panels. Look carefully for any hidden screws during the dismantling not to break the panels.
Get yourself one of those cheap (£4ish) needlepoint testlamps with a crocodile clamp.
Its a must have for easy faultfinding in car electric installations.
