My turbo has started making a new noise, a bit like an electric razor at 3000 rpm and upwards, especially under hard acceleration. I haven’t noticed any air leaks or any drop in performance and the noise is still not very intrusive.
Any ideas what the prognosis is? (& how much).
Cheers

Have a good look for air leaks in the ducting between the turbo, intercooler and manifold, sounds to me like you are describing a charge air leak rather than something on the exhaust side.
If not a leak of any kind then it could be a damaged compressor wheel or a build up of carbon on the exhaust turbine contacting the housing.
A damaged turbine often makes a warbling sound like a ref's whistle, easily heard in the exhaust, caused by a broken or burnt away vane.
