307 1.4 LX 5dr AC CUTS OUT WHILST SLOWING DOWN

I have a strange fault with my pug 307. Can someone help?

The car drives fine however occasionally whilst I am braking to slow down, as the car comes to a stop it cuts out??????????

Has this happened to anyone? What was the cure?

possibly the idle control valve stepper motor, or check to if there are any air leeksin the induction/vaccum hoses, i pressum its a petrol 1.4

Yes the car is petrol.. thanks forthe reply i will check these asap.
