Was the sacrifice of an Activa worth it for this effort that's a bit visually
challenged - that intercooler is just stupid and sad!

I don't get why they take a gentlemans performance car, take half the good bit and stick it into an old 205. It would have been cheaper and more rewarding to keep the Activa as is?!

I don't know.....

Could phone him to arrange a viewing, then when he opens his door slap him with a wet fish (or lead pipe) for trashing an Activa for that...*thing*

Well if that's what he done to two cars, I.E. make one bastard, and waste a good Activa.

Then what state is the Land Rover, or the house in, as he appears to be from the school of bodge it, and F#C# it up!!

I wonder if he actually had the front number plate hiding it at first before
someone WITH a clue pointed out the error of his ways...

Sadly, I'd expect this car with THAT engine probably never goes anywhere
either as he's still in Uni, can't afford to put fuel in it or has 11 points on
his licence...

So, if it is on the log book as a 1.9 then all this work done on the car was to add 98cc's and a turbo to it.

So he's got too much spare time, and no sense.

The ECU is going to live a long and happy life where it is  The amount of heat and risk of water damage it will suffer there will soon see it off..

There is nothing wrong with a 205GTi par se I ran one in parallel with my first Activa for a long while, albeit mine being a totally standard 1.6. When the crunch came, I kept the Activa and sold the 205. That has to tell you something.

Being a long-term 205GTi owner, I'm at a total loss to explain the need to put an Activa engine in it. A 1.6 is a hoot as it is. The character of the Activa engine does not match it at all.

I used to be an active member on a 205 forum. Several on there said they'd driven their donors, both the BX Valver and the Activa, before doing the deed and commented on what great cars they were...

So another Activa bit the dust for this, and all for this Heath Robinson contraption to fetch £1300.00 as Ian Drury said "What a waste."

Well citrojim reading that last paragraph, makes it all the more frustrating, and annoying that they are canabalising cars like this!

Also the point made in the first paragraph does say a lot, and surely the Activa is a rarer beast with even more going for it!

OK, not removed from an Activa although as it's the same engine so its of note that it didn't waste an Activa, when they did this conversion on another 205.

Note the subtle fitment of the intercooler, like the previous one!
