HELP!! MY LAGUNA DEATH TRAP

Unread post by Minimee »

Hi, I have recently purchased a 52 plate Laguna 2.0 Dynamique IDE Estate. In my first week I loved the car, however the other night I was driving home at a speed of approx 60mph when the engine decided to cut out, no warnings nothing just switched of and I was left with ignition lights on. Once I had rolled to a stop I pressed the start button and all was fine again, then it did it again about 5 miles down the road.

The following morning I arranged to limp in with it to a local garage where it did it once more, the mechanics have looked around it and cannot find a reason why it did what it did, then I had a guy with a computer check the car and it had a record of something to do with fuel but they cannot pinpoint it, they have done approx a 100 miles in the car and it has not done it since, as such we are all stood scratching our heads as to what is making this car turn off, as you can appreciate I dare not drive it any more because if this did it in the fast lane of a motorway etc the outcome could be lethal.

If anyone could give me some advice or guidance it would be much appreciated

Thanks in advance
Minimee
