Looks like it. Their website has gone off-line..

Hope this does not affect the spares supply for their diesel pumps :?

This site linked from the old LSUK site still works though.

Well sad though it is for those who worked for them they've tried hard enough to go out of business. Can anyone tell me what they supplied - beyond - well its diesel bits? I tried to find out and ended up knowing less than I did when I started.

I was interested to find out their bases - I knew of one of them in Southampton as I'd found it when buying a new thermostat for my boiler - but could I find it on their website?

what they were always known for was auto electrics as manufacturers, lightting, switches, starters, alternators,

but i have never heard of them selling boiler parts,

It is very sad for those working for them, but there's a grain of truth in what you say.

There's a joke, possibly apochryphal, which I heard had been printed on T-shirts by the "british" section of an American vintage motorcycle club: "The English drink warm beer because they have Lucas refrigerators!".

Having written that cheap shot, I have to say that my own employer has a business unit that sells chips into the automotive electronics world, and it's a pretty challenging (that seems a good word) business to be in.

Cheers
