C5 Eolys/dpx42 fluid

Just had to purchase 3 ltrs of dpx 42 for 01plate 2.2 hdi as"low diesel additive" warning came on.Advice from Peugeot dealer is that running the Eolys tank dry can cause the ECU controlling the pump to overheat and burn out. Must say Pug dealer far more help than local Cit dealer who only wanted to do job.Incidentally price quoted for particulate filter was £137. Also advised early 2.2 hdi up to 03 don,t need ecu reset. Fluid at £30.62/lt with filling kit. Had to buy 3 ltrs. Ouch!!! :cry:

Bad news! The early C5 2.2 takes 5 litres for a complete fill. To spread the financial load I think I'll put in 1 litre each 10k miles - its an easy enough job.
