hello
This is my first post on this forum so hello to all.
I have a faulty Aircon compressor (Sanden SD7H15 model 7854), when the car has been running for around 10 to 15minutes the air con compressor starts to smoke (electrical burning smell). Iam currently unable to run the car due to risk of fire. Is there any way that I can isolate the compressor or will I require a replacement one.
If a replacement compressor is required does anyone know of a good supplier of Peugeot used parts
Many Thanks

Hi and welcome
A similar problem I once saw on a Xantia was caused by the aircon compressor front bearing collapsing and causing the pulley/clutch to overheat.
A scrapyard should provide a good replacement compressor privided it is still all fully connected up and no moisture has been allowed to get in.
Note that there are several different versions and you must ensure any replacement has identical pipe terminations to yours.
The old compressor should be professionally depressurised and repressurised. Don't try doing it yourself.
