Radiator Repair - anoyone know a place ? UK

The BIG problem with a s/hand rad is rust.. In my personal experience they are not worth the time they take to fit.. But..

If you give it a very very thorough cleaning inside and out, and Paint it with heat resistant paint it may be fine, but paint makes the vanes thicker and reduces heat transfer, but it's a trade off I think you are better off making though, just try not to get too much paint in the honeycombs.

A fan will be usefull at low speeds, but once you get moving they don't do much.. A manual on-off switchable fan would probably be best.

yep a part of me is thiking that another 2nd hand rad could cause more probs (

well it's arrived very happy. it's an aftermarket rad someone had brought for their chev which must have died soon after.. looks almost new! all black, no rust, I needed a bit of good luck with the old thing.


now I need some fans....

on a different note , this van leans to the offside. (right) .. I managed to jack all 4 1/2 tons of it up and swap the rear cart springs .. no difference ... I can only guess there is too much weight on the RH side ?

There is a generator, fridge freezer, 2 x LPG tanks, and other bits - none of which are found on the nearside.. bloody annoying.. how could it be designed like this? or have both springs weakened over 25 years, but it only shows on the heavy side?

I could maybe get the springs re-tempered.. or get some other leaf springs from a truck...

Crazy to design it so uneven. Does the handbook recommend more pressure in the offside tyres to compensate?

I'm sure some experienced caravaners will have some great tips...

there's no way it would have left factory like this.. dont forget it is 25 years old.. handbook would have perished long ago..

the difference between rear wheels and their arches is about 2 inches too little on the low side.... thats quite a lean..

But its a simple chassis, I cant see anything visually wrong..

One thing I could do to prove the problem is weigh each rear wheel on a weighbridge.... or even each side
