Xant mrk 1 key receiver transmitter question

Chaps, i have just got neutral ebay feedback for selling a mark 1 key and it's associated receiver circuit board..

the lady says

the key cannot be programed to another car even with the receiver

Is she right? I thought it would be a case of plug and play...

I want to get back to her with a refund (she only payed a tenner) or some ideas..

any thoughts

If its the keyfob with a red light on it, you can reprogram it. Turn the ignition on, then moveing the key back and forth towards the roof sensor start to press the locking button. Eventually it will work providing the battery is ok in the keyfob......

This is how I did it after I was told how to by Citroen.
