still looking good for an old girl

Unread post by rolphy1975 »

just thought i would post a couple of photos of my old xantia.it really did clean up very well for a car from 1993 and had a very clean interior. My current renault is a nice car but after having had to xantias i do miss them!!! :) i think the alloys look quite nice on it and also being black it all looks like it is factory colour coded (bonus) and like i have read somewhere else on here the chevrons do look much better at home on the bonnet

Sweet :D

You're right, the bonnet is the right place for the chevrons

the xantia i had before this one had the chevrons in the grille and was a 95 plate n reg with the sx trim spec but i wrapped that round an electricity pole and parked it on its roof, which to be honest it didnt like much as the photos show, i was just glad i did not have any passengers!!

That'd be why it only got 1.5 stars from ENCAP
1.9TD+ SX Xantia Estate (Cassy) running on 100% veg
1.9TD SX Xantia Hatchback (Jenny) running on 100% veg for sale
Laguna II 2.0dCi Privilege (Monty)

I honestly think the council and utilities companies locate poles, lamps, signs
and countless other random street furniture in positions of maximum danger
and risk to life and limb on purpose; but then I'm just neurotic if you believe
what they keep saying about me...

Impressive! What exactly were you doing at the time to be 80mph airborne
upside down!? You obviously weren't practicing to be part of a new red
arrows routine?

you are right, i wasnt practicing for the red arrors but i was a tad late for work, (i was even later after that though!!! about a week) and trying to make up a bit of time and met a lorry on slight bend, and it had most of the road so i moved left a bit then when i went to move back in to road the back end came around, across the road, bang spin roll crash wallop where am i. the look on the guy whose drive i ended up parked on was great when he came to his door to see me with my ear missing was priceless, i think it put him off his brekkie!

Guess it is true what they say.......You wont get there any quicker.
And the electricity company charged me £1800 for the new pole, 11 kw cable and labour!!!!
