Hi guys,
I have a 1999 Laguna facelift 1.9 tdi with the clear headlights. The MOT tester has flagged up very "hazy" lens on the headlights as an "advisory". Is there any way of refurbishing the plastic lens or do I need to buy new headlamp units?
Also, he has flagged the inner balljoints on the steering rack with slight play. Can these be bought separately?
Thanks for any help.

Plastic surfaces can be refurbished using one of these modern acrylic paint polishers. It work wonders.
We used it to refurbish instrument glasses (i.e. plastic !) in my old company, when custmers returned faulty instruments.
But only on the outside. If the inside surface is damaged - there is no cure ...
Try GSF for both headlamps and the inner balljoints, which is a common part on most cars. I'm sure you'll find their pricetags a bit more relaxed than those off Renault...
