Auto box question

Hi

Does the Automatic gearbox featured in my car (with the ES9J4 engine) go to 4th gear in sports mode? Or is it locked to 3rd. It's cool how it holds the gears, but 4th would be nice at the higher speeds.

Mine goes to fourth eventually but I think the change point is well over the ton

Maybe you're not trying hard enough

Oh, is that so... then I shall clench my fists until my bones crack.

But I like the sports mode on the B roads! My 12 miles to and from work craves sports mode. Still, I do it quite often. It's turns the car from a civilised grumbler to a boy racer chaser.

Even my non sport mode ZX 1.9D auto wont change into top (4th) at under 75 if you really give it some stick..

I seriously doubt yours will on "B" roads in sport mode!! It just wont get enough speed up to need it.
