205 16Valve conversions.

If you are pulling a BX apart to do this, then jolly good luck to you because you'll build a fine car. If you want to make the job cheaper still, please offer the wreckage of the BX on the "www dot bxclub dot co dot uk"
forum because they contain bits that we oddball bearded deviants cuddle up to at night and use to keep our BXs from the scrapman. Thanks!

Or you could not rip apart a perfectly good car in its own right!

I hope you don't mind but I have posted the text of your post on the 205GTiDrivers forum Tom.

I've also suggested they let this Forum know if they have any Xantia Activa bits left over from a 205 Turbo Conversion.

The Mi16 conversion using the BX/405Mi16 is now going a little out of fashion due to the shortage of donors so the Activa Turbo/XM Turbo and Pug 306 S16 and GTi-6/Xsara VTS powertrain is becoming popular.

I don't mind in the slightest. I'm not so precious about the 16V as others,
in fact I reckon that the 205-16 is a great way of recycling a good engine out of the inevitable baggy scrappers to build a cheap fast car but some of the parts are common to other BX models and with spares for these just starting to become scarcer, those of us hoping to play the long game with our BXs welcome any leftovers!

How many times has this horse been flogged?

It makes me laugh every time someone posts up a link to an ebay auction for a valver or activa saying "ooooh, someone save it from the puggers". Does anybody ever come back and say they've saved a car from the puggers? Rarely? Or maybe never?

The puggers seem to want the valvers and activas more than us citroen folk. Best of luck to them.

Well, I'm bucking the trend and currently negotiating the purchase of a fully loaded Activa Turbo..
