Further to the problem, that I outlined earlier in the week, I now have a diagnosis from an auto electrician. I am told that the BSI Unit has failed and that it needs to be booked into a Citroen dealer to fit the unit and re program it. Is this the same as an ECU? Any comments?

I take it you mean the BSI ? yes it is an ECU & very expensive so i hope his diagnosis is good.
