Facelift S reg Xantia. Has original 2 plips but do not work!

Still having a problem.......the two original plips (no red lights on these) are with the car. The batteries have 3.5 volts. They must be matched to the ECU but 'nowt appens' when I press either of the two buttons. Any ideas please?

The later radio transponder types can only really be rekeyed by Citroen, that said, if both have failed at the same time, be looking round the ignition barrel area at the antenna for the reciever (and make sure the batteries are in the right way round)

You dont live / park near a police radio mast do you?

The recever is inside the CPH unit which is located behind the passangers glovebox.sounds like the plips probably just need re-programed.
