A Problem for Computer Techies
Certainly not French car related, but until recently whenever I entered a search topic in Google, an alphabetical list of past topics was displayed in a box below the search line. Likewise with the eBay site, past searches, beginning with the same letter or digit was displayed. Suddenly, on my computer that has stopped happening. How do I go about restoring it?

If you have emptied/deleted the listings by any clean-up routine on your PC - then they cannot be restored.
Because these listings are stored on your PC as cookies. Most clean up routines deletes your cookies - if you're not aware and deselect that.
The listings are a standard Windows facility :
Have the search window empty - then doubleclick (left mouse button) thewindow - and any listing of previous search words should appear.
Then you can select any word from the list with a left click.
Works on all search windows which require you to enter any word - and if the function has been enabled.
