PSA 1.4/1.5d Engines

Does anyone know what fuel pumps were fitted to these at all as im wondering if a bosch was fitted to them as ive been offered a cheap one and would want to run it on veg

Hi,
I’m afraid that both versions have the lucas pump. I'm not sure what would be involved in converting to bosch though?

We are thinking of running the old mans 1.5D 106 on chippy fat, will it be ok with the lucas pump?

Im afraid not

Without modification, ie a dual fuel tank setup the pump may not last long with our now cooling climate making the vege oil thicker and more likely too thick to lubricate the pump

Do a google search on veg oil or similar topics -
And you will get loads & loads of answers.

All you need to know, all you want to know is to be found on the web - on both Lucas & Bosch pumps running veggie.

Be prepared to spend most of the night surfing/reading though. Many good heads has written tons of wise words on the subject.
