1.9TD Injectors (strange substance)

Does anyone know what this s**t is which appears to be oozing from the base of my (2) injectors?? And why

One of the injectors on my '94 gets oil on it from a cracked breather hose. It could be the same thing on yours.

Hmmm had another look but find that it only appears at the base of two injectors and has a consistancy of toffee.... doesn't appear to be dripping from anywhere. Thanks for the idea anyway.

old oil will congeal, and will get this to this type of consistency over a period of time. It's the glycerine contained in it. Try cleaning it up along with the surrounding area, and you'll probably be able to work out where it's coming from.
