what temp should the cooling fans come on? on a peugeot 406 1.9 td

If you have aircon, first stage is at 90C and 2nd is at 101C. Without A/c it's 92 and 97.

what do you mean 1st stage and second stage? my car runs at about 90-95 around town and drops to 75-80 on the motorway

The fans have two speeds. 1st stage is slow-2nd stage fast.
