GSF are going to be stocking the full range of Xantia Activa spheres.
As I know we've got a few Activa drivers on the Forum I have produced a supplement to the sphere application table.
I can also produce this as a PDF if required.
Thanks Jon,
Good news indeed.
I assume that centre spheres are the actual Hydractive system spheres and Balancing spheres are those that do the Activa anti-rolling?
Do you know when these parts will be available? I am probably going to replace 8 of the 10 spheres this summer as they all appear to be original and some feel way past their best.

Simon.

I did not include the V6 as it was not a UK market car.
Yes, there are some small differences.
I find that V6 models >12/97 use 5271C7 main front spheres, 400 volume 40 bar.
For obvious reasons there are no plans to stock these.
Simon, yes you are correct about the centre spheres and balancing spheres. The spheres are expected here Monday, although I would advise we've got some pre-ordered already.
Jon,
I have a couple of questions with regard to the above list, I wonder if you could reply please:
1. Citroen list the Activa's main front spheres as having a volume of 450cm3 not the 400cm3 shown above;
2. Again Citroen list the front centre sphere as having a volume of 450cm3 not 400cm3 and a pressure of 75bar not 70bar.
3. Cany you confirm the size of the shock absorber holes on the main and centre spheres?
Question to all, as a Citroen newbie (about 1,000 miles) I have no idea of the effects of these specification differences nor how my Xantia is meant to ride. Do the above differences have any noticeable effect?
One last thing, does anyone know the fill capacity of an Activa's hydraulic system. My car took all 5 litres of hydraflush and was still pumping out green LHM at the first brake I was bleeding when I stopped due to absence of additional Hydraflush.
Thanks,
Tony [:)]
OK, the front spheres do have a volume of 450cm3, when I originally did that table I saw that these spheres were 130mm height which generally equates to a 400 volume on all other spheres. My mistake.
The centre sphere bit is tricky, there are 2 different centre spheres listed by Citroen for the Activa, the 527609 (the one we sell) which is 70 bar, and then the 95669124 which is 75 bar. Citroen show a change at RP6448. The 527609 is fitted after this RP number and has a volume of 450cm3 and 70 bars. Confusingly it is also listed for Activa prior to this RP number for "very hot or very cold countries"!!
Our supplier tells me that the 527609 is the one that sells the best in Europe, so thats why I took the decision to stock that line, not the earlier one.
I don't have the damper sizes, and Citroen only show volume and pressure on the microfiche. I will attempt to get hold of this information.
Jon,
Thanks for the correction. Also, sphere 527609 corresponds with my build date so I'm quite happy with your choice there. [;)]

Tony
P.S. What is Citroentech?
